A friend sent me this email.
"Hello,
I cannot believe this list of store closings! The economy must be in a tailspin if all these are closing."
Well, dear friend, wherever have you been? Note that many are big box, stand alone stores while many others are in malls. Great time to go out and spend all that cash and credit you have and rake in the savings on all that stuff! NOT! Treesong

Treesong,
Not sure what the problem is but am having trouble leaving comments on several of these blogs!! So sorry if they come through several times. Back to this posting....I really feel that after Christmas people are going to be shocked at the amount of stores and businesses that are going to close. I grieve so for the young people trying to make it out there...four of my own included. Our house of six adults is getting by on one full time job and two parttime jobs. The parttime jobs were fulltime and have been consistantly cut in hours. We are not extravagant people. We do not waste anything and are growing foodstuffs. I was raised a country girl and know how to cook can and sew. It is tough out there and getting tougher. No more run to the store for soda and chips cause you feel like it!! Get used to it people and learn and grow!!! God bless you and yours I hope you are feeling better and getting around fine.

Thanks for your comment and concern about our health. I feel the storm has only just begun with regard to the economy. If your adult children are living with you and contributing to the household economy any way they can, count yourself blessed. Too many families today can't get along at Thanksgiving or Christmas let alone live with one another. The times of multiple generations living together is upon us again. Maybe it will be good for all of us in the long run. Treesong
Oops, forgot to say the Sweetie has a doctor appointment Monday. Definitely something wrong aside from the emphazema. He had to rest three times today while making his special batch of coleslaw! Prayers are appreciated. Treesong
The story regarding KB Toys is an old story from 2003 when KB was in bankruptcy. They have since emerged and have recently opened 30 new stores.
Yes I have said this for quite some time now that families are going to go back to cohabitation. My kids are great one is a son-in-law who is dearly loved. They are very helpful around here and are trying to find work. The lack there of is why they moved in with us. We are doing well and I am thankful that we love each other and get along fine. Hope pneumonia isn't rearing its ugly head. Difficult for a normal pair of lungs to get over let alone one with emphysema. Prayers are up for you both. I do enjoy reading your blog keep up the good work!!
