We bought a pontoon today. Pictures Monday or Tuesday when it's delivered. Had a ride on it in the St. John's River where I saw my first gators. Stopped to eat Chinese in Dunnellon & came home just before our first rain of the month.
Told Sweetie we have lots to do around here BEFORE the boat arrives. He winked at me and said: "Yeah. Buy gas, life jackets, trolling motor and bait!"
Sure excited to be on the Withlacoochee taking in the sights!

The pontoon is 26', fiberglass with a 70hp Johnson, two batteries, two gas tanks, five life jackets, anchor, compass, and two extinquishers. Has bilge pumps too. Forget the age & paperwork has not arrived yet.
Looking for a large trolling motor and a few other things which require more money - usual routine with owning a boat. Meanwhile Sweetie splits his time between tinkering around the boat and finishing the screened porch.
I'm so happy for you guys. It's about time you get to enjoy a little of life. I'm also jealous at the same time. I wish I could convince my better half that we don't need to stay in the rat race we are in.
He looks quite content sitting there in the boat.
